TOW (& Answer)...

This week’s question was what might a Native American in New Mexico use as a remedy for a backache?  To quote from our source: “[they] still use the traditional remedy for backache, a plaster of pitch and powdered verbena.”

The question (& answer) were taken from p. 116 of A Treasury of American Indian Herbs by Virginia Scully.  The book was published in 1970 by Crown Publishers.
