Carry On by Rainbow Rowell tells the tale of Simon Snow, his maybe a vampire roommate
Baz, his best friend Penny, and his (ex) girlfriend Agatha. The four attend a magic school, think
Hogwarts, and Simon is hailed be all as the chosen, responsible for saving magic
and magicians.
Although it sounds like a total Harry Potter rip-off the story rises above its tropes and tells an interesting tale about things not being what you think they are and the need to verify the whole story yourself. Recommended for fans of Harry Potter style stories of any age.
