You will never be charged a late fee for returning overdue items. However, overdue items can impact your card. Here’s how:
- More than 11 items overdue—your card is blocked
- Item more than 21 days late, it counts as lost—your card is blocked
- Have more than $50 of lost items on your account—you will be charged a $15 agency collection fee. This charge is non-negotiable
To unblock your card simply return overdue or lost items. If lost items are truly lost you will need to pay for or replace the item to unblock your card.
So… for full use of your card (and to face no non-negotiable charges) make sure you return books on time, don’t allow books to go lost, and never let lost items build up to $50
