Trivia of the Month (Answer)...

The month we asked what does a henry measure? The henry is a unit electrical inductance.  The henry, named for Joseph Henry, American physicist, was defined as the inductance of a circuit in which an electromotive force of 1.0 volt is induced by a current varying at the rate of 1.0 ampere per second and equaling 1x109 cgs units of inductance.

The question and its answer were found on p. 288 of For Good Measure by William D. Johnstone.  The book was published by Holt, Rinehart and Winston in 1975.
