Interested in learning a new language? Want to brush up a language you know but haven’t used in a while? Check out December’s eMedia Resource of the Month… Transparent Language Online. This language learning tool provides access to lesson plans at all levels for more than 120 languages. These lesson plans are designed to help with all aspects of a language; speaking, listening, reading, and writing. They include pronunciation practices, speech analysis, grammar, writing activities, and vocabulary-building activities.
Transparent Language Online is free to use with your library card. Access it from the library website’s Research & Homework page (https://www.lapl.org/collections-resources/research-and-homework#T). Find it alphabetically in the T’s. The first time you use it you will need to create an account using your library card under register. This is an RBDigital product so if you already have an account for accessing eAudiobooks, just use that. There is also an app you can download and install on your phone to learn anytime, anywhere.
So get a jump start on the New Year’s resolution of learning a new language and check out Transparent Language Online.
