The Celtic Origins of Sherlock Holmes

Fascinated by Sherlock Holmes? Interested in hearing one man’s take on the great detective? Enjoy contributing in a free-wheeling discussion (not a requirement, you can just listen)?  Join us for a lecture and discussion of “The Celtic Origins of Sherlock Holmes” presented by Tom Louie.  Tom will be sharing his thoughts on:

  • The Celtic origins of the characters and author
  • The history of the detective in real-life and in fiction
  • Celtic references in the stories
  • Their legacy to modern science and police work
