Trivia of the Month (Answer)...

The question this month what is scandium?  Scandium is an element.  It is a soft-silvery white metal which tarnishes in air and burns easily once ignited.

The question, and answer, were found on p. 184 of The Elements by John Emsley.  The book was published by Oxford University Press in 2000.
