TOW (& Answer)...

The bogarodicza (to answer this week’s question) is one of the earliest European folk songs.  It is a war song of Poland found in a manuscript dating from the 13^th century.

The question (& answer) were taken from p. 153 of volume 1 of Funk & Wagnall’s Standard Dictionary of Folklore Mythology and Legend edited by Leach and published in 1949.
