Mist

Mist by Susan Krinard is an urban fantasy tale.  The heroine, Mist, is a Valkyrie living in contemporary San Francisco when things start. We then embark on a traditional battle against the gods.  I will confess that I did not finish this book.  Our heroine’s boyfriend turned out to be the villain of the piece (the God Loki) within the first chapter & that whole scenario was way too “rapey” for my taste, so I put the book down.

The premise is interesting so if you can overlook the problematic beginning it might be worth a try.  I wouldn’t recommend it though.
