Dark Currents by Jaqueline Carey is a quick, easy read.  It is perfectly suitable for those looking for momentary diversion.  It follows the adventures of a police file clerk in a small Michigan town.  The thing is, of course, that that’s not all she is.  She is also hellspawn and working for Hel keeping paranormal beings in line.   If you’re looking to kill a couple of hours and you enjoy urban fantasy give this book a try.
